“Why 99% of Indian startups die in year 2 — and the 3 things founders ignore.”
Recl turns every YouTube video you watch into structured AI summaries — then drips them back through Telegram on a spaced-repetition schedule so nothing fades.
“The most dangerous AI isn't the smarter one — it's the one we stop questioning.”
🧠 Quick check: What were the 3 pillars of AI safety Lex mentioned?
Three disciplined steps that turn casual watch time into durable knowledge.
Paste a YouTube URL, click the Chrome extension, or import a whole playlist. Recl ingests the transcript quietly in the background.
An AI distills the talk into a one-liner, key takeaways with timestamps, topic tags, and a set of recall prompts — not a bullet dump.
Telegram nudges arrive on day 1, 3, 7, 14 and 30. You rate how well you remembered — the schedule adapts to your actual memory.
A glimpse of what Recl produces from creators our beta users already follow.

“What 3-hour long-form interviews reveal that no 30-second clip ever could.”
Showcase samples are illustrative. Your library, your channels, your voice.
Every surface exists for one reason: make what you watch, actually stick.
One-click save from any YouTube page. Overlay button, keyboard shortcut, auto-detect from subscribed channels.
Zero friction is the first memory rule — if saving is hard, you won't do it.
Daily spaced-repetition messages. Rate your recall 1-5 — the algorithm adjusts the schedule so nothing fades.
Active recall beats rereading. A daily prompt is active recall, built-in.
Search your entire video library by meaning, not keywords. Find that one quote across 100 hours of podcasts.
Finding a half-remembered quote is how memory actually consolidates.
Day 1, 3, 7, 14, 30 — scientifically-timed reinforcement adapted to how well you actually remember.
The forgetting curve is real. Days 1, 3, 7, 14, 30 flatten it.
Save terms, quotes, and articles. AI enriches each into a studyable card with spaced-repetition recall via Telegram.
Terms, quotes and articles stay in the same recall loop as videos.
Every feature shipped because a beta tester said “I lost a quote again.” We are still small. That is on purpose.
A bookmark tab is storage. A summary is a snapshot. Recall is a system.
Telegram is where your knowledge lives after Recl. One quiet prompt per day — phrased as a question, not a summary.
Rate every card 1–5. Low ratings shorten the next interval. High ratings stretch it. Your memory sets the pace.

No sales language. Just the information you'd want before signing up.
If YouTube serves a transcript — auto-generated or manual — Recl can summarize it. No captions, no summary. Private and age-gated videos are not supported.
We try the YouTube Transcript API first, then fall back to an Innertube client. Non-English videos are supported — we detect the language and summarize in English (or the original, on Ultra).
Yes, on Pro and Ultra. Public and unlisted playlists work out of the box. Private playlists require a one-time Google consent so we can read them on your behalf.
Spaced repetition on days 1, 3, 7, 14 and 30 after you save a video. Each nudge asks you to rate recall 1–5, and the algorithm adapts the next interval per card. It's a loop, not a dump.
Your transcripts and summaries are yours. We never sell them. Google sign-in authenticates you and, if you opt in, reads playlists — not your watch history, not your search history.
Yes. Markdown, Notion, and Obsidian exports on Pro. PDF and CSV on Ultra. Your knowledge, portable by default.
Claude 3.7, GPT-4.1, and Gemini 2.0 via OpenRouter. Ultra gets a priority queue with the faster, higher-quality models.
Only if you want the recall nudges. Without Telegram you still get summaries, search, and spaced-repetition cards inside the dashboard.
